About the service
QWhat kind of service is KabuNew?
KabuNew collects timely disclosures (TDnet), statutory disclosures (EDINET) and news media information about listed companies in real time, has AI summarize them and rate their likely impact on the stock price, and notifies you only about the news on the stocks you've registered.
QCan I get investment advice?
KabuNew is a service for gathering and organizing information. We do not provide investment advice or recommend any investment decisions. Final investment decisions are your own responsibility.
QWhich exchanges are supported?
We support the Tokyo, Nagoya, Sapporo and Fukuoka stock exchanges, as well as stocks listed on multiple exchanges.
QDo you support foreign stocks, forex or crypto assets?
Currently we support only Japanese listed companies.
Account & login
QWhat login methods are available?
You can log in with a Google account, a LINE account or an email address.
QIs registering an account free?
Yes, it's free. On the Free plan you can register up to 5 stocks and receive notifications. The Standard plan (¥980/month) lets you register up to 50 stocks.
QCan I change my email address?
Yes. You can change it from the Account settings screen, and a verification email is sent to confirm it's you.
Registering stocks
QHow many stocks can I register?
Up to 5 on the Free plan and up to 50 on the Standard plan (¥980/month).
QHow can I search for stocks?
You can search by company name (kanji, katakana or hiragana) or stock code (4 or 5 digits).
QA recently listed stock doesn't appear in search.
Newly listed stocks become searchable, usually within 1–2 days after the Tokyo Stock Exchange announces the listing approval. You can register them even before the listing date. Notifications start once the company publishes a disclosure after listing.
If it still doesn't appear after a few days, please contact us via the chat at the bottom right of the site, or through the operating company's contact form.
QCan I receive notifications by specifying a keyword such as "large order" instead of a stock code?
We don't currently support keyword-based search or notifications.
QCan I remove a registered stock later?
You can remove it at any time.
QWhat happens to a stock that gets delisted?
It's shown as “Delisted” in your registered list. Once a stock is delisted, no new disclosures are published, so you'll stop receiving notifications. It isn't removed automatically, and it still counts toward your registration limit. If you want to free up the slot, please remove it yourself.
Delisted stocks no longer appear in stock search or recommendations.
About notifications
QWhat information will I be notified about?
We deliver the following information about the stocks you've registered.
- TDnet (timely disclosure): Timely disclosures from the Tokyo Stock Exchange, such as earnings reports, forecast revisions, M&A and share buybacks
- EDINET (statutory disclosure): Securities reports, extraordinary reports, large shareholding reports and more
- News (various media): News automatically collected by company name from various information media
Each notification comes with an AI 3-line summary and a rating of the likely impact on the stock price (High / Medium / Low).
QHow quickly do notifications arrive?
TDnet is polled at intervals of as little as 5 minutes. Depending on when the source updates and processing time, notifications arrive several minutes to ten-odd minutes after the disclosure.
QWhich notification methods can I choose?
In addition to LINE and email, the Standard plan can also notify you on Slack, Discord and Google Chat (you can receive on several at the same time). Choose them under "Delivery Method" in settings.
QI want to reduce the number of notifications
In notification settings you can choose "High only", "Medium and above" or "All" for importance. Choosing "High only" narrows what you receive to information with a high impact on the stock price.
QCan I choose the information sources?
Yes. You can turn TDnet, EDINET and news (various media) on or off individually. PR TIMES support is planned.
QWill I get notifications at night and on holidays?
We notify you at the time a disclosure or news item appears. We're considering features to suppress notifications by time of day (such as a quiet mode).
QI'm not receiving notifications
Please check the following.
- Whether the target stocks and channels are enabled in notification settings
- For LINE notifications, whether you've blocked the official KabuNew account
- For email notifications, whether the emails are being sorted into your spam folder
AI summaries & importance rating
QHow accurate are the AI summaries?
We summarize disclosure documents into three lines and extract the key points. However, because the processing is automated by AI, errors or omissions may occasionally occur. For important investment decisions, please always check the original disclosure documents as well.
QHow are the High / Medium / Low importance ratings determined?
Based on a proprietary algorithm supervised by a former foreign institutional investor, AI analyzes the content and automatically rates the impact on the stock price in three levels.
QCan it read English-language disclosures?
Yes. English-language documents are translated and summarized.
Pricing & plans
QWhat are the pricing plans?
There are two plans: the Free plan (¥0/month, up to 5 stocks) and the Standard plan (¥980/month, up to 50 stocks). The Standard plan offers a higher registration limit as well as notifications to Slack, Discord and Google Chat, priority support and more.
QWhat payment methods are accepted?
We support credit card payments (Stripe).
QHow do I cancel?
You can cancel at any time from the subscription section of Account settings. You can keep using the service until the next renewal date even after canceling.
QCan you issue a receipt?
You can download a receipt PDF from your Stripe billing history.
QCan I get a refund?
As a rule, we don't provide prorated refunds. For details, please see the notice under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act.
